Ibrahim Sannoh, the Executive Director of the Sierra Leone Road Safety Authority (SLRSA) during his routine address to Road Safety Corps on the 13th July 2021 has frowned on any act of indiscipline and professional misconduct in the strongest of terms.
The Executive Director, while addressing Road Safety Corps during a muster parade at the Authority’s headquarters on Kissy Road in Freetown in the early hours of Tuesday 13th July 2021, said professionalism is the building blocks on which rest a formidable force. He stressed that SLRSA, under his watch and leadership, will not in any way tolerate acts of indiscipline and professional misconduct among his staff, and Road Safety Corps are duty bound to act within the ambit of the law and codes of conduct.
“I implore you all to not only be torchbearers but examples worthy of emulation by sister forces nationwide. This is why as a leader, my administration has been very fair in enduring that we fulfil our part of the bargain by paying all salaries and other allowances in time to each and every staff of the Authority amidst the numerous challenges the Authority is faced with,” he said.
He admonished commanders to ensure thorough supervision to see that they meet public expectation emphasizing that anyone found wanting would not only face their internal disciplinary committee, but will where the law permit be handed over to the Anti-Corruption for further investigation.
