In an official notification issued by the Ministry of Works and Public Assets on May 6th, 2024, the House of Parliament, after deliberation on the proposals presented by the Parliamentary Committee on Works and Public Assets, has approved new toll charges for the Wellington-Masiaka Highway. These charges are scheduled to come into effect on Wednesday, May 15th, 2024.
Against that backdrop, the West African Operations and Management Company (SL) Limited ( WAMOMC-SL Ltd) wishes it to be made known that effective from 6:00 AM on May 15th, 2024, all toll gates along the Wellington-Masiaka Highway will adhere to the revised toll tariffs. The new charges are categorized based on vehicle types and are as follows:
Category Group 1 – Kekehs to pay NLe3,Group 2- Taxis, Sedans, Small Cars (Micras) to pay NLe5, Group 3 includes SUVs , Jeeps, Pickups , Mini Buses, Medium Buses (Up to 18 Seats) now to pay NLe 10,Group 4 is made up of Coaches (Above 18 Seats), Light Trucks, Medium Trucks (Less than ten tyres), Excavators, Loaders, Fuel Bowsers (2Axles) to pay NLe40 , Group 5 comprises Fuel Bowsers (3-4 Axles but not Trailers) to pay NLe250, Group 6 includes Heavy Trucks (10-12 Tyres) but not Trailers to pay NLe 400 and Group 7 comprises Heavy Trucks (Above 12 Tyres , trailers, Semi Trailers, Flat Beds , Fuel Bowzers (With Tank Trailers) to pay NLe600.
Alongside the implementation of the new toll charges, pre-paid pass card services and preferential policies will also be reactivated on May 15th, 2024, catering to both transportation companies and individual customers. These measures aim to enhance efficiency and manageability for corporate and private users alike.
