International wellness and lifestyle company QNET has publicly clarified that it has no association with the 12 individuals recently arrested in Waterloo in connection with alleged fraudulent activities, following media reports that linked the suspects to the company’s name.
In a statement issued on June 19, 2026, QNET said it was aware of reports published by Sierraloaded and other media outlets regarding the arrests. The company stressed that the individuals involved were acting independently and were neither authorized representatives of QNET nor engaged in any activities sanctioned by the company.
QNET expressed concern over the repeated misuse of its brand by individuals allegedly involved in fraudulent schemes and emphasized that it remains committed to protecting consumers and preserving the integrity of its business operations.
Commenting on the matter, Deputy Chairman of QNET for Sub-Saharan Africa, Biram Fall, said it was troubling to see the company’s name being associated with people suspected of engaging in criminal activities.
“It is concerning to see QNET’s name wrongly associated with individuals suspected of engaging in fraudulent activities. We encourage media organisations and members of the public to verify information through QNET’s official channels before attributing any individual’s actions to the company. QNET has no involvement in these alleged activities and will continue working closely with authorities and stakeholders to address misuse of its brand,” Biram Fall stated.
The company noted that fraudsters often exploit the names of established organizations to deceive unsuspecting members of the public and urged individuals to independently verify any business opportunity claiming a connection to QNET.
While sympathizing with persons who may have fallen victim to fraudulent schemes, Biram Fall stressed the importance of distinguishing between legitimate QNET representatives and unauthorized individuals who misuse the company’s name for personal gain.
“We sympathize with anyone who has fallen victim to fraudsters who exploit the QNET name for personal gain. However, it is important to distinguish between legitimate QNET representatives and individuals who misuse our brand without authorization,” he added.
QNET further clarified that it does not offer employment opportunities in exchange for payment, overseas jobs or visa arrangements, investment schemes promising guaranteed financial returns, recruitment fees, coercive recruitment practices or any unlawful activities.
As part of its efforts to combat fraud and educate the public, the company continues to implement its “QNET Against Scams” awareness campaign across Sub-Saharan Africa. The initiative utilizes television, radio, online platforms, social media, print publications and outdoor advertising to inform the public about fraudulent schemes and brand misuse.
The company also reaffirmed its commitment to supporting law enforcement agencies and regulatory institutions in ongoing investigations involving unauthorized use of its name. According to the statement, QNET is expanding cooperation with authorities across West Africa, building on successful partnerships such as its collaboration with Ghana’s Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO) in tackling fraud-related cases.
Members of the public have been encouraged to verify any opportunity claiming affiliation with QNET through its Compliance Hotline on WhatsApp at +233 2566 30005 or via email at network.integrity@qnet.net.
QNET concluded by reaffirming its commitment to transparency, responsible business practices and consumer protection while pledging continued support for efforts aimed at bringing perpetrators of fraud to justice.
