Africell Signs Drizilik as Brand Ambassador to Inspire the Next Generation

 

Leading telecommunications company, Africell Sierra Leone, has officially unveiled award-winning musician Drizilik as its new brand ambassador in a strategic partnership designed to promote local talent, deepen youth engagement and advance community-driven initiatives across the country.

The signing ceremony, held on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at Africell’s headquarters in Wilberforce, brought together senior executives of Africell Sierra Leone, Afrimoney, representatives of Eminence Africa, the management company representing Drizilik and members of the media.

The appointment marks another significant milestone in Africell’s continued investment in Sierra Leone’s creative industry. It also reinforces the company’s long-standing strategy of partnering with influential personalities whose work resonates with young people while promoting innovation, national development and social impact.

Speaking during the ceremony, Africell Sierra Leone’s Communications Manager, Kamanda Koroma, described the partnership as a celebration of Sierra Leonean creativity, talent and excellence.

He said Africell remains committed to supporting individuals who use their influence to make meaningful contributions to society, noting that Drizilik’s achievements in the music industry, professionalism and growing international recognition make him an ideal representative of the Africell brand.

Kamanda Koroma emphasized that the collaboration demonstrates the company’s continued confidence in local talent and its determination to celebrate Sierra Leoneans who are making remarkable contributions in their respective fields. Also addressing the gathering, Afrimoney Chief Executive Officer, Martison Obeng Agyei, described the partnership as a natural alignment between two brands driven by creativity, innovation and ambition.

He disclosed that discussions leading to the agreement commenced several months ago and expressed satisfaction that the negotiations had culminated in Drizilik’s appointment as brand ambassador. According to him, the musician’s personality, influence and strong connection with young people closely reflect Africell’s values and long-term aspirations.

He assured that Eminence Africa, as Drizilik’s management and representation company, remains committed to ensuring the success of the partnership by working closely with Africell to maximize its impact while safeguarding the interests of the artiste.

Emile Domingo further expressed confidence that the agreement would open new opportunities for Drizilik’s career, strengthen support for Sierra Leone’s creative industry and contribute to youth empowerment through impactful campaigns and community initiatives.
