Orange Middle East & Africa Unveils 2025 CSR Report Focused on Inclusive Digital Growth

Orange Middle East and Africa (OMEA) has published its 2025 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Report titled: “Building the Future Together,” outlining the company’s continued commitment to advancing inclusive digital technology, resilient infrastructure and sustainable growth across Africa and the Middle East.

Released in Casablanca on July 24, 2026, the report highlights Orange’s contribution to economic, social and environmental transformation through investments in digital infrastructure, financial inclusion, renewable energy, innovation and responsible corporate governance.

Serving more than 179 million customers and supported by nearly 19,000 employees, Orange stated that the report demonstrates how its infrastructure, digital, financial and energy services, together with its Orange Digital Centers and workforce, are helping to accelerate inclusive, resilient and sustainable development throughout the region.

According to the company, the report is structured around three strategic pillars: resilient infrastructure, digital technology as a driver of inclusion and responsible governance. It presents measurable results, impact indicators and practical examples illustrating Orange’s contribution to the development of communities across Africa and the Middle East.

The report notes that Orange continues to invest in modern, secure and sustainable infrastructure to support the region’s ongoing digital and energy transition. It highlights investments aimed at expanding network coverage, strengthening infrastructure resilience through artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, developing strategic international infrastructure and accelerating the transition to cleaner energy through solar-powered sites, renewable energy initiatives and circular economy practices for digital equipment.

Orange also emphasized the role of digital technology in creating opportunities for everyone by expanding access to essential digital, financial and energy services. The company showcased several flagship products and services, including Max it, Orange Money, Orange Bank Africa, Orange Energies and affordable Sanza smartphones, all designed to make technology and financial services more accessible.

A major highlight of the report is the continued expansion of Orange Digital Centers, which now operate in 16 countries and have already supported approximately 1.4 million beneficiaries. The centers provide digital skills training, internationally recognized certifications, business incubation, startup acceleration and access to entrepreneurial funding.

Orange disclosed that it now aims to increase the total number of young people trained through its digital skills programmes to three million by 2030, reaffirming its commitment to youth empowerment, employability and entrepreneurship across the region.

The company also stressed the importance of responsible governance in achieving long-term sustainable performance. Beyond its technological investments, Orange stated that it continues to operate under principles of ethics, transparency and stakeholder engagement while promoting diversity, inclusion and professional development among its workforce.

Through its Orange Engage for Change programme, employees across the region participate in high-impact social and environmental initiatives, reflecting the company’s belief that sustainable transformation is driven by collective action.

The report further outlines Orange’s compliance, vigilance and certification mechanisms designed to ensure responsible business practices while strengthening long-term sustainability across its operations.

Speaking on the publication of the report, Chief Executive Officer of Orange Middle East and Africa, Yasser Shaker, said the company’s success is measured not only by the quality of its networks but also by the positive impact it creates for people.

He stated that by investing in resilient infrastructure, expanding inclusive services and empowering talent, Orange is laying the foundation for sustainable growth that benefits Africa and the Middle East.

Also commenting on the report, Asma Ennaifer, Executive Director for CSR, Orange Digital Center and Communications at Orange Middle East and Africa, said every network, service and inclusion programme reflects the company’s ambition to place technology at the service of people.

She noted that by expanding opportunities in learning, entrepreneurship, financial inclusion and energy access, while mobilizing employees through the Orange Engage for Change initiative, the company is helping to build a more inclusive, resilient and sustainable future for millions of people.
