Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission Holds 59th Jalsa Salana Conference in Bo

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission ended its 59th Jalsa Salana conference has on Friday, February 11, 2024 at the Ahmadiyya Secondary School in the Southern City of Bo, reaffirming the commitment to religious tolerance within the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at worldwide. The conference aimed to remind followers of Allah’s deeds, peace, tolerance, love, and compassion among mankind.

Amir Musa Mewa Esq., the Amir of Ahmadiyya Mission in Sierra Leone, during the opening session, expressed gratitude to President Bio, First Lady Madam Fatima Maada Bio, guests, and attendees for their participation. He emphasized kindness, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence, echoing the teachings of the Ahmadiyya faith to bring mankind closer to God.

Maulana Azhar Haneef, a special guest from Markaz, conveyed a message from His Holiness the Khalifa of Islam Ahmadiyya, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad (atba). He commended the organization of the Jalsa Salana and prayed for its success, highlighting its significance as a gathering for spiritual enrichment and the fulfillment of divine promises.

President Dr. Julius Maada Bio officially inaugurated the conference, underscoring its role in promoting spiritual growth, community building, and religious discourse. He described the Jalsa Salana as a symbol of unity, spiritual reflection, and renewal, emphasizing its contribution to fostering peace and understanding in the nation.

Reflecting on the theme:  “Islam Means Peace,” President Bio reiterated the importance of peace within oneself, with God and among all creations further emphasizing Sierra Leone’s commitment to religious diversity and tolerance, calling for continued efforts to ensure harmonious coexistence among individuals of different faiths.
