According to the Media guru, Amb Anthony Navo Jr,  it was really inspiring to meet his Sierra Leonean brother and global football icon – Antonio Rüdiger who plays for English Premier League club Chelsea.

It must be highlighted that Antonio came not only to launch his charity foundation but to also engage, empower and inspire young people and help contribute to sport for sustainable development.

Amb Anthony Navo intimated The Calabash that it was indeed a great honour  to host Antonio at the AYV Media HQ in Freetown during which period their discussions focused on amazing plans.

He said they discussed about their shared-objectives for Sierra Leone and how they can continue to work together to make the world a better place.

The AYV Media Empire Founder disclosed that Antonio is very humble, incredibly talented and has a great sense of humour.

“He is passionate about Sierra Leone’s development,” Navo added furthering how the footballer should be celebrated as a Goodwill Ambassador, alongside our other compatriots who are making a huge difference both in Sierra Leone and abroad.

He also stated how AYV is honoured and delighted to work in partnership with Antonio and to support his vision for Sierra Leone. The Ambassador then extended gratitude to  Antonio for his great sportsmanship and the kind gesture of awarding a signed jersey.

“Continue to inspire our world, Enjoy your stay, my brother,” he expressed compliments.

On his arrival in Sierra Leone Antonio Rudiger was mobbed by fans.

He shared the clip with the caption: “I’m speechless – these people are crazy. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this overwhelming welcome, Sierra Leone. God bless you all.”
