In an era described as a time of spiritual apostasy, graduates of the God’s Agent of Transformation (G.A.T) Discipleship and Leadership Training Centre have been charged to stand firm as true disciples of Christ.
Addressing the 5th graduation ceremony at the Ajayi Crowther Amphitheater on the Fourah Bay College campus on Saturday, November 23, 2024, Pastor Dr. Francis A. M. Mambu, Principal of G.A.T and General Overseer of Faith Healing Bible Church, urged the graduates to preach the undiluted word of God. Referencing 2 Timothy 4:1-5, he emphasized the importance of embodying Christ-like leadership in their families, churches and communities, calling them to be “the light of the world.”
The event saw 600 graduates receive certificates after completing a year-long, comprehensive training in discipleship and leadership. In his remarks, Pastor Josephus D. Paris, Vice Principal II of G.A.T, encouraged the graduates to utilize their training to support pastors in their respective denominations and apply their newfound knowledge in meaningful ways.
Guest speaker, Reverend Buya Morlai Kamara, General Overseer of the First Assembly of God Church, advised the graduates to draw their inspiration solely from the Bible. Citing concerns over the conduct of some religious leaders, he urged the graduates to remain upright, dedicated and guided by scripture in their ministry.
Reflecting on the growth of G.A.T since its inception in 2019, Administrative Coordinator Pastor Ayodele Agoro highlighted the school’s humble beginnings with 12 campuses in Freetown. Today, G.A.T has expanded its reach, with campuses now operational in major towns, including Bo, Kenema, Makeni, Kono, Port Loko, Rutile, Kabala and Kailahun.
Graduates expressed their gratitude and shared testimonies of personal transformation and spiritual growth since joining the training center. Several were recognized with awards for outstanding performances.
The ceremony concluded with Pastor Mambu officially certifying each graduate, endorsing them as equipped to serve as disciples and leaders, ready to impact their communities and beyond for Christ.
The event not only marked a significant milestone for the graduates but also underscored the vital role of faith-based education in empowering individuals to become transformative leaders and agents of positive change.
