Dr. Tony Morgan Champions Revolutionary Water Technology to Drive Africa’s Industrial Revolution

By Amin Kef Sesay

Zanzibar marked a historic milestone on Saturday, December 7th, with the launch of a groundbreaking water-from-air technology aimed at addressing Africa’s water poverty crisis. Dr. Tony Morgan, a keynote speaker at the event, unveiled plans to implement this cutting-edge system in African countries through a strategic partnership with Kevin Nyerere Holdings and the African Union, aligning the project with the African Union’s Agenda 2063 for a prosperous and sustainable Africa.

The water collection and purification system is a technological marvel, boasting over 14 patents developed by Infinite and Lobby Mexico. Perfected over 14 years, the system extracts water from the air using advanced condensation technology and purifies it with UV systems to achieve unmatched quality, with a pH rating of 7.26. This innovation, which has been successfully tested on an industrial scale, is designed to transform water accessibility in marginalized communities, offering both immediate health benefits and long-term economic prosperity.

Dr. Tony Morgan emphasized the transformative potential of this technology, describing it as a cornerstone for Africa’s next industrial revolution. “This system is not just about providing clean water—it’s about empowering Africa,” he said. “With support from Kevin Nyerere Holdings, ‘Lobby Mexico’ and the African Union, we are creating a sustainable solution that aligns with the AU’s Agenda 2063 vision of a self-reliant and prosperous Africa.”

The event, held at Kendwa Rocks Resort, brought together African leaders, NGOs and key stakeholders to witness the unveiling of this revolutionary technology. Dr. Tony Morgan highlighted the successful trials conducted at Kendwa Rocks, where the system exceeded expectations in both productivity and water quality.

Water scarcity remains a dire issue across the continent, with over 400 million people lacking access to clean water and 767 million without basic sanitation services. This initiative directly supports the advocacy of H.E. Dr. Fatima Maada Bio, First Lady of Sierra Leone and African Union Ambassador for Water and Sanitation, who has tirelessly championed the fight against water poverty since 2021.

Dr. Tony Morgan’s partnership with Kevin Nyerere Holdings seeks to roll out this innovative water system across African nations, focusing on empowering underserved communities. The collaboration aligns with the African Union’s Agenda 2063, which prioritizes sustainable development, technological innovation and industrialization to propel the continent into a new era of progress.

“The 14 patented technologies behind this system make it a game-changer,” Dr. Tony Morgan said. “Together, we are creating an ecosystem where access to clean water not only improves health but also drives industrial and economic growth, securing Africa’s future for generations to come.”

This ambitious project aims to eliminate clean water scarcity within the next decade, demonstrating how technology, collaboration and vision can combine to address one of Africa’s most pressing challenges. The launch in Zanzibar signifies the beginning of a journey toward a brighter, water-secure and industrially empowered Africa.
