Government Dishes Out Over Le4B to Leone Stars

Disclosing the fulfilment of the pronouncement made by President Bio to 30 Players and 11 Technical Officials of the National Football Team, Leone Stars, as bonus for the country’s qualification to the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2022 Football Tournament, the Ministry of Finance has on the 2 July, 2021 stated that Government has paid the sum of Le4, 100,000,000 into the bank account of the National Sports Authority (NSA).

It was also stated that the offer is in fulfilment of the pronouncement made by His Excellency, the President, Brig. (Rtd) Dr. Julius Maada Bio to 30 Players and 11 Technical Officials of the National Football Team, Leone Stars, as bonus for the country’s qualification to the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2022 Football Tournament.

It is expected that the National Sports Authority will transfer to individual beneficiary bank accounts directly the Leone equivalent of $10,000 (that is Le 100,000,000) each.

Further disclosed was that the list was prepared by the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) and endorsed by the Executive Director of the National Sports Authority and the Minister of Sports, and graciously approved by His Excellency, the President.
