Indians in Sierra Leone Celebrate Diwali Festival in Grand Style

The Golden Tulip Essential Kimbima Hotel in Freetown was indeed lively, full of fun and laughter  in the evening of the 21st November 2021, as on that day along with the Sunshine Caterers, it hosted the Diwali Dinner Event 2021 at the terrace of the Hotel on the 21st November 2021.

Diwali is a festival of Lights and is one of the major festivals celebrated by the Indians back home and across the globe. The Chief Guests of the Event were Honourable High Commissioner of India to Sierra Leone, Rakesh K. Arora and spouse.

The Event was attended by more than 350 Indians living in Sierra Leone and comprised Dance Performances, Fashion Show and Lucky Draw. The guests enjoyed an array of sumptuous Indian delicacies in the form of a Buffet.

General Manager of Golden Tulip Essential Kimbima Hotel, Rahul Ranjan Chaturvedi expressed profound satisfaction for hosting such an event stating it brought the Indian Community together who are living away from home. He also commented that the Hotel would be looking forward to host more of similar events in the future.

The Managing Director of Sunshine Caterers, Harwinder Kaur also Mrs. Shina was quite satisfied with the turn out of the Guests and showed her willingness to have a long-term partnership with the Hotel in respect of organizing such Cultural Events.
