The Petroleum Regulatory Agency (PRA) has publicly made known that pump prices for petrol, diesel, kerosene and fuel oil have been adjusted from Le12, 000 to Le15, 000 per litre.

It must be underscored that the invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation has led to the surge in oil prices in the global market.

Indeed, for the past one week, petrol and diesel have been rationed by oil marketing companies in anticipation of a price hike and according to the Executive Chairman of PRA (Petroleum Regulatory Agency), Dr Brima Baluwa Koroma, the Government was reluctant in agreeing to increase the pump price of fuel.

He, however, allayed the fears of the public that once the situation in the global market normalizes the prices will be adjusted accordingly.

The Management of NP-SL Ltd maintains that these are trying times imploring its numerous customers across the country to understand the current situation and apply themselves accordingly. It went further to assure all that it will explore all available possibilities to ensure that petroleum products are available on the market.

When it comes to customer Care the company has created a niche for itself.  As a matter of fact the National Petroleum (NP) Sierra Leone Limited has been lauded for making positive and invaluable contributions related to overall national development as it continues to make meaningful inputs to the economy.

As an efficient petroleum marketing entity NP-SL Ltd is proud of having various filling stations in various parts of the country and for the mere fact that the company is vibrantly functioning in Guinea, Liberia, Ivory Coast and The Gambia.
This 100% indigenously-owned company has so far offered various employment opportunities to residents in the afore-mentioned countries, keeping in line with the Local Content policy thereby reducing poverty to a considerable level.

Furthermore, worthy of note  is that it is one of the largest taxpayers to the National Revenue Authority (NRA), one of the institutions that financially empower the Government, through payment of taxes, to roll out various development projects.

Also, it introduced what is now known as NP Smart Card which is a memory chip that could be credited from time to time by the holder in order to buy fuel. It is a cashless way of conducting business and many have attested that it is very convenient.

There is also NP-Gas which is a cooking devise that could be refilled with gas. Manufactured in different cylinder sizes it is said to be very efficient and they are sold at the company’s Filling Stations or authorized dealers at affordable prices.

With its core values of NP-SL Ltd  anchored on: Safe Working Environment, Good Customer Service, High quality products, environmental sustainability and building positive teams, NP-SL Ltd has come a long way in executing its roadmap to become a viable business entity.
