Orange Foundation Donates Baby Packs to Lactating Mothers at Kroo Bay

By Foday Moriba Conteh

Lactating mothers at the Kroo Bay Community were the beneficiaries of baby packs donated to them by Orange Foundation on the 17th June 2021. The donation was done during the telecommunications company’s weekly visit to the maternal screening center at the Kroo Bay Community in Freetown where several screening tests were conducted such as blood sugar, malaria, MMHG, HIV and COVID-19.

It was learnt that the project is part of Orange Foundation’s commitment to support deprived communities through its Safeguarding Maternal Health Projects in partnership with ICAP and the Ministry of Health.

The presentation of the first 5 baby packs was made to 5 lactating mothers at the screening centre in the presence of community stakeholders and the Paramount Chief of the Kroo Bay Community.

The lactating mothers, in turn, extended gratitude to Orange Foundation for its timely interventions and touching the lives of the women in their community.

Orange Foundation says it is “Because They Care”.
