‘Salone Bly’ E-Commerce Platform Launched

During a well-attended ceremony held on Tuesday 14th February 2023, at Kallon Car Park on Aberdeen Beach in Freetown, the Salone Blyan E-Commerce platform was officially launched.

The Salone Bly Platform is one that seeks to connect business people to their distant potential customers in order to expand the scale and the customer base of businesses in the country.

Speaking during the ceremony, the Founder of ‘Salone Bly’ stated  that Salone Bly creates ease and comfort for both  business owners/people and customers, adding that customers will be at home and shop online and also business owners/people will be at their businesses and sell online.

He disclosed that for any transaction they are giving 10 percent discount to their customers.

Commenting on behalf of partners, Chief Executive Officer at NP Sierra Leone, Kobi Walker, commended the launch of Salone Bly which he said is the right move and is very important towards making Sierra Leone go digital.

He said that the world is moving digital and even NP-Sierra Leone as a company is moving with the trend of which he revealed that the company recently unveiled the 1st digitized and automated fuel storage tank in the country furthering that within the next two months 80 percent of NP-Sierra Leone fuel stations will be digital.

The CEO said that with the partnership between Salone Bly and NP-Sierra Leone people can buy fuel using cards like Rokel Sim Korpor, Rokel Visa Card etc. adding that through Salone Bly people can send electronic fuel chit to another person which they can use to secure or collect fuel.

In his keynote address, the Managing Director of Rokel Commercial Bank, Dr. Ekundayo Gilpin said that the launch of Salone Bly is a clear manifestation of their support towards digitalizing the country.

He commended the entire team of Salone Bly for the initiative and further encouraged them to be focused and committed towards the sustainability of the initiative.
