The Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) Chairman for Constituency 125, Alhaji Komba, has expressed gratitude to the Managing Director of Rokel Commercial Bank, for what he refers to as his continuous encouragement and support to residents in his constituency.
Chairman Komba made that statement during the MD’s visit to Kolleh Town Community on Sunday 30th October 2022, honouring an invitation to take the kick-off in the grand final of the ‘Alhaji Komba Trophy 2022’ between Ataya Base and Virtus Funeral Home, organized by the Community Chief and other stakeholders of the community.
“I’m so blessed to work with such a supportive Managing Director and the Rokel Commercial Bank for always supporting the respective communities in their operational areas through their corporate Social responsibilities as a bank,” Komba stated.
In his response, the Managing Director, Dr. Walter Gilpin, appreciated the Chairman and Chairlady Madam Hawa Rogers of Constituency 125 for what he described as the positive and we-can-do-it attitude of the Chairman and his constituency stakeholders.
The MD also called on other community stakeholders and institutions to support the initiative of the Kolleh Town Community Chief to take away the minds of the community youth from the devil’s workshop and transform them into becoming meaningful citizens and maintaining peaceful co-existence in such social gatherings.
Dr. Gilpin provided the championship package and further called on the two finalists to put up their best sportsmanship behavior.
Chief Alimamy Koroma, on behalf of the people of Kolleh town community, thanked Chairman Komba and Chairlady Madam Hawa Rogers for luring the MD of Rokel Commercial Bank to visit and celebrate with the people of his community.
“I want to use this opportunity to kindly ask the MD and his bank to consider the Kolleh town community which is a deprived slum community.
