He attended Albert Academy School in Sierra Leone and later pursued higher education at Fourah Bay College (FBC), University of Sierra Leone, where he studied Social Work and earned a degree. His academic background provided a solid foundation for his lifelong passion for helping others and promoting social well-being. Throughout his career, Sahr Aruna has worked in various sectors in Sierra Leone, gaining extensive experience in community service, social support and professional development. Currently, Sahr Aruna works with Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health in New Jersey as a Direct Support Professional (DSP).
