First Bank Sierra Leone has on Wednesday 28th February, 2024, launched its Finacle 11x modern banking operating software to improve customer experience and set new benchmarks for banking excellence in Sierra Leone during an event that took place at the Bank’s headquarters in Sierra Leone, on 3 Charlotte Street in Freetown.
It must be noted that, the recently adopted banking operating software known as Finacle 11x represents a significant investment in technology and innovation.
The Managing Director, Udeme O. Udoh, intimated that FirstBank’s commitment is geared towards delivering seamless, secured and personalized banking services to its esteemed customers adding that the upgrade is supported by cutting-edge technology infrastructure that has the excess capacity to deliver the best banking experience to the bank’s customers.
He maintained that, the software boosts a contemporary interface designed to provide customers with a seamless banking experience across all channels, including online banking and branch services.
“FirstBank has prioritized the security and privacy of its customers’ financial data. The very current software incorporates robust security protocols and encryption mechanisms to safeguard against cyber threats and unauthorized access,” the Managing Director assured.
The Managing Director further dilated on the impact Finacle 11x will have in redefining the Banking experience for customers. “Our customers are at the heart of what we do. The introduction of this banking operating software underscores our commitment to delivering world-class banking services that are secure, convenient and tailored to customers’ needs,” he said.
He encouraged customers to embrace this transformation towards a more responsive, secured and future-ready banking experience and that they should actively engage on this journey, knowing that their collaborative efforts will steer them towards achieving their banking and finance objectives.
Udeme Udoh disclosed that they have appointed a new Executive Director, Boblinda Bami-Caulker. According to him, she is the first Sierra Leonean to hold such a position in the bank.
The new Executive Director, Boblinda Bami-Caulker expressed her gratitude to the Board for such an appointment. According to her she has worked as a banker for fifteen years and that she will bring her wealth of experience to bring growth and development.
