On the 26th January, 2021, as the National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT) takes the lead in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) revolution in Sierra Leone, the institution signed two separate contracts with two consultancy firms: Infocareer & Telis Consortium and Price Water House Copper (PWC).
The signing ceremony took place at the Trust Head Office Conference Room, Freetown.
Infocareer and Telis Consortium which is an ICT Project management consulting firm will be responsible for data cleaning and web based information system, enterprises resources planning and maintenance of NASSIT Pension system while Price Water House Copper (PWC) will be responsible to proffer advice and recommend the way forward for the turning around of the scheme’s investments portfolio for a period of one year.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, NASSIT Director General, Mohamed Fuad Daboh reiterated that the two consultancy firms were chosen in public tenders that went through due processes in relation to overhauling both IT System and portfolio investments of the scheme.
He said that one of the recommendations of the Technical Audit is for NASSIT to employ the services of an investment consultant/firm that will undertake a technical appraisal of all NASSIT Investments in order to provide a viable future.
