The Sky Vision College of Digital Technology and Management was a scene of celebration and excitement on February 22, 2025, as over one hundred and fifty students matriculated in a vibrant ceremony at the institution’s campus on Main Motor Road, Wilberforce in Freetown. The event was marked by an air of joy and anticipation as students, faculty and distinguished guests gathered to witness the beginning of a transformative academic journey for the new entrants.

Speaking at the event, the Head of the Marketing Department for Kadat, Madam Rasma, underscored the significance of the occasion, describing the matriculation ceremony as a major milestone in the lives of the students. She noted that their admission into Sky Vision College was not merely about gaining access to education but about embracing a journey filled with endless possibilities, challenges and opportunities for growth. She emphasized that the pursuit of knowledge was not just about obtaining a degree but about expanding intellectual horizons and nurturing curiosity that would shape them into well-rounded individuals.

Highlighting the forthcoming degree courses at the institution, Madam Rasma encouraged students to remain focused on their academic ambitions while striving for excellence in all facets of life. She reminded them that the college experience extended beyond the classroom, encompassing the relationships they built, the extracurricular activities they engaged in and the communities they became part of. She urged them to seize every opportunity for personal and professional growth, challenging themselves to make meaningful contributions to society.

Addressing the students, she advised them to cultivate resilience, empathy and humility while maintaining an open mind in their academic journey. She called on them to take care of their mental and emotional well-being, emphasizing that a positive mindset would be instrumental in achieving their goals. She concluded by appealing for cooperation and mutual respect among the matriculated students, fostering a culture of support and collaboration within the institution.

In his address, the Vice Chancellor of the Ernest Bai Koroma University of Science and Technology, Dr. Prince Sorie Conteh, reiterated the importance of the matriculation ceremony as a formal process that grants students eligibility to pursue degree and diploma courses upon meeting academic requirements. He lauded Sky Vision College for its commitment to providing students with access to quality education and essential resources, recognizing its strategic partnership with the Ernest Bai Koroma University. Encouraging the students to remain dedicated to their studies, he emphasized the role of education in shaping their future and fostering national development.

The ceremony also highlighted the dedication of the college’s lecturers, who were commended for their professionalism and commitment to equipping students with fundamental computer and digital skills. The event culminated in a colorful display of cultural performances and entertainment, reflecting the diverse and vibrant spirit of the institution.
