The theme for this year’s conference is: “Re-Energizing Regional Destinations through Branding and Investments to Boost Tourist Arrivals”.

The Minister is in the UK together with top officials of the hospitality industry to participate in this year’s World Travel Market, where they would showcase Sierra Leone’s tourism potentials. The trade fair would present business opportunities for tourist destinations to position their products to potential visitors.

Minister Pratt will engage ministers from other destinations, where she would showcase Sierra Leone’s “Explore Freedom” as an emerging destination.

Speaking at the ITTC, Dr. Pratt intimated that the Commonwealth should bent itself into the current situation in the world in order to make themselves relevant, adding that there is also need for the UK to expand and consolidate its  international support using the ITTC platform to explore same.

Marketing Sierra Leone at the World Travel Market, Minister Pratt positioned Sierra Leone as a resilient country with enormous potentials that is ready for business. She showcased the country’s new rebranding logo with the phrase “explore freedom” which has replaced the previously used “sierraously surprising”. She said “explore freedom” depicts ecotourism, peace, culture and everything that represents Sierra Leone.
