By Brima Sannoh

Ing. Dr John Edward Tambi, Chairman of the Presidential Infrastructural Initiatives has said during a meeting with the China Railway Eryuan Engineering Group Co. Limited that the Government of Sierra Leone would continue to work with the private sector in undertaking major infrastructural projects in the country.

He said Government had been working with its diplomats to bring more investors and particularly spoke of Sierra Leone’s Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China, Ernest Mbaimba Ndomahina who had been doing very well in fostering the New Direction Agenda of economic diplomacy.

He disclosed that the Chinese Group had the expertise to construct a railway and had a very good network system and added that they would set up a team to conduct a study. He said the railway facility would help to bring the country together and boost economic activities in the country. He ended that the project would cater for Sierra Leoneans and provide more jobs for the locals.

It could be recalled that since his appointment as Sierra Leone’s Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China, Ernest Ndomahina has engaged a lot of partners on possible ways of bringing development to the country for which he had been admired by many.
