Gento Kamara Collects Voter ID with an Assurance of Credible, Peaceful Elections

As He Encourages & Donates to Mosques…

Mohamed Gento Kamara, the outstanding SLPP contender for the Mayoral position in the Freetown City Council, on Friday 7th April, 2023, collected his Voter ID Card together with President Julius Maada Bio and First Lady Dr. Fatima Bio at the Hockey Pitch, Wilberforce Barracks in Freetown. He also made a surprise donation of 500 bags cement to the Ashobi Corner Mosque among other things.

After collecting his Voter ID Card, the favorite aspiring Mayoral candidate headed to Banana Water-Oloshoro community, Murray Town, where he addressed members of the Masjid Nurr Muslim Jamaat. With sincerity and patriotism, Chief Gento Kamara emphasized the need for peace amongst Sierra Leoneans before, during and after the June 24 elections.

During his brief speech to the Muslims, he also stated that as they all know, he is going for the position of Mayor of Freetown.

Earlier on Thursday 6th April, Chief Gento Kamara made a surprise visit to the Ashobi Corner community in Freetown. Here he was informed by Muhammad Hamza Bangura, a Muazim of Masjid Udaah while giving a factual testimony on their building project, that they had been deceived by APC’s Jagaban who had promised building materials but failed to deliver.

Muhammad Hamza Bangura, Muazim of Masjid Udaah further informed his audience that they are not the only victims deceived by Mohamed Jagaban as he had made similar promises to other Muslims in various communities to provide them with building materials for the completion of their respective mosques. He thanked Chief Gento Kamara for coming to their aid unexpectedly and without any political strings attached.

In his brief address to the Jammat, Gento Kamara stated that he was there as a Muslim to provide 500 (five hundred) bags of cement and tons of stone after which, 5 (five) tons of iron rods will be delivered on Tuesday. He added that he was not doing this for political gains but purely in respect of what Allah commands all Muslims to do once they have the resources.

During the respective visits, Gento Kamara informed his various audiences that the importance of collecting one’s Voter ID Card cannot be overemphasized as it creates eligibility for an individual to vote for development and change. He encouraged all and sundry to collect their Voter ID Cards in order to be eligible to vote for the right person who can effect positive change.

It could be recalled that in recent weeks, Chief Gento Kamara disbursed over NLe74, after visiting various slum communities to assess and plan against natural disaster risks. The renowned business magnate decided to foot the bill for the implementation of the project because according to him, he felt for them whenever they were affected by natural disasters.

The reaction of residents was one that could be best described as the expression of profound and sincere gratitude for coming to their aid, heaving sighs of relief as they welcomed the availability of electricity supply among other interventions provided by Gento Kamara.

I have been on 6months training on excavator operation, both theoritical and practical since January this year.
