God’s Spring Foundation Holds 1st Inspiration Session & Charity Work

God’s Spring Foundation is a Christian faith-based organization comprising Christian University students which aims at reaching out to the unreached and needy by way of inspiring, motivating and counseling them. The Organization has, as one of its objectives, changing lives through the Gospel of Christ.

On the 9th December 2019, the Foundation held it first inspiration session and Charity work at the Maranatha Primary School at a community known as Treeplanting in Freetown.

Giving a brief background of the organization, Audra Nyambe Sannoh the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Founder of the God’s Spring Foundation, who is a Mass Communications student at Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone, said the idea of forming the organization came early in January as a result of the passion she has to teach out to the unreached and needy, by way of inspiring, motivating and counseling them. “We have so many inspirational and motivational speakers in the world and they have being doing a good job which I must commend. But, somehow they are limited because most of them use social media to pass on their messages and many people can’t access social media because of financial constraints,” she noted.

She further went on to state that the Foundation is also a means of evangelism and went further to deliberate on the theme for the program which was “CATCH THEM YOUNG”. They, as an organization, wants to catch them young in every area of their lives (spiritually, emotionally, academically) etc to prepare them for the journey ahead.

The keynote speaker, who is also a member of the Foundation, Mathew Bangura, in his address admonished pupils to pay attention to their academic work and to always be neat and tidy. He said they are the future leaders so they should abstain from all bad habits which include lying, stealing, fighting. He further went on to share the Gospel of Christ to them.

Mrs Bayo, the Headmistress of the school thanked and appreciated the Foundation for their support and said the donation of school materials to the school was timely. She also expressed joy that the Foundation choose their school to do their first donation and inspiration session.

The program ended with the distribution of school materials to pupils of the school and the school authorities. The Items donated were: 9 boxes of chalk, 9 dusters, books, pens and pencils.
