Government of Sierra Leone Pays Salaries of Academic & Administrative Staffs in 6 Tertiary Institutions

The Ministry of Finance has confirmed that the Government of Sierra Leone has paid July salaries of Academic and Administrative Staff of Six (6) Tertiary Institutions, in line with the recent agreement to operationalise the integration of their salaries and core allowances into the centralised and computerised government payroll system.

The six beneficiary institutions include Milton Margai College of Education and Technology (MMCET), Freetown Teachers College (FTC), Eastern Polytechnic, Njala University, Bonthe Technical Institute and Ernest Bai Koroma University of Science and Technology (EBKUST).

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Technical and Higher Education (MTHE) is working with the administration of the University of Sierra Leone (USL) and the Government Technical Institute (GTI) to verify their payroll data for onward integration into the government payroll system.
