Milla Group Supports Fourah Bay College with Dust Bins

In a bid to address the concerns and complaints by residents living in hostels especially the one that relates with the unavailability of bins to dump waste, somehow affecting their stay and well-being on campus, Milla Group (SL) Limited on the 16th May 2022 donated 10 Dust Bins to Fourah Bay College through the Students’ Union Government during an handing over ceremony held at the Students’ Union Building on the College Campus in Freetown.

In his address during the handing over of the Dust Bins, the Managing Director of Milla Group (SL) Limited, Rajesh Hemnanii, maintained that as a responsible company they deemed it fit to support Fourah Bay College through the Students’ Union Government with Dust Bins which, he said, they believe will help address the issue of garbage collection on campus.

He revealed that since they received a distress call from the President of the Fourah Bay College Students’ Union Government in relation to the unavailability of bins for students to dump their waste on campus, the company decided to respond by donating 10 Dust Bins to the Students’ Union Government with the strong conviction that it will help toward enhancing cleanliness of the campus.

Receiving the Dust Bins, on behalf of students, the President of the Fourah Bay College Students’ Union Government, Adama Sillah expressed deep gratitude to Milla Group SL Limited for the kind gesture maintaining that they came in handy and timely to help address the issues of unavailability of bins for students to dump their waste on campus.

She pointed out that the clarion call for the donation came about as a result of series of concerns and complaints from hostel residents about the unavailability of bins to dump their wastes.

The FBC-SUG President stated that as a answerable Students’ Union Government that cares for the general student populace they decided to engage the Milla Group in order to galvanize support for the college furthering that as a Union they are extending profound appreciation for the gesture extended bythe Milla Group SL Limited in donating 10 Dust Bins which she said will help mitigate the unavailability of bins to dump waste on campus.

She concluded by informing the gathering that Milla Group (SL) Limited in March this year also donated 11 Milla Water Tanks (8000 Liters) to Fourah Bay College through the Students’ Union Government to help address the water constraints students  are also facing.
