Starting on the 16th March 2020 and ending today, the National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT) officials embarked upon a three-day sensitisation and biometric registration.
A total number of one thousand one hundred and sixteen police personnel showed up for the said exercise at the Sierra Leone Peace Keeping and Law Enforcement Academy (SILEA) at Hastings in Freetown.
The Head of Operations (NASSIT) Mr. Idrissa Ahmed Kabia admonished the Police Personnel that registration with NASSIT as a member is very key. He added that registration will enable them to have their social security card and also statements of accounts.
Mr. Kabia further stated that those who have mistakes on their registration forms should have to do the necessary corrections.
In making his statement, Mr. Prince Amadu, reiterated that membership with NASSIT begins with registration and therefore called on the police personnel to make it a point of duty to do their biometric registration. He also outlined the importance of biometric registration.
