Africell on the Verge of Completing 90% of Network Coverage Nation-Wide

One of the major telecommunications companies operating in the country, Africell Mobile Company, it was learnt, is on the right trajectory as it is currently on the verge of completing 90% of its network coverage around the country.

According to the Managing Director of Africell, Shadi Gerjawi, their expansion plan for 2021 includes the rolling out of a large number of sites, increasing their coverage to 90%. He made that disclosure during the sixth Consumer’s Parliament that was recently held in Bo.

He intimated that in this year, the company has increased its coverage, adding that very soon they will achieve 90% coverage throughout the country.

Shadi lauded NATCOM for making it possible for mobile operators to interact with their consumers and deliberate on pertinent issues in the sector.

“I want to assure you that all the concerns expressed by subscribers will be addressed by Management,” he stated maintaining that they do take all their stakeholders seriously.

The Managing Director said Africell has supported a lot of community development projects, supported the Media, youth empowerment and other developmental activities in the country.

He told all those in attendance how the company is currently working in supporting students of Njala, adding that Africell has supported the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Health and to achieve national growth.

Shadi said that Africell is always prepared to hold fruitful deliberations during the various sessions of the Consumer Parliament reaffirming their commitment of providing quality and accessible services to the people of Sierra Leone.

He concluded by commending NATCOM for the strides that the Commission has so far made assuring that Africell will continue to demonstrate leadership through supporting community development projects across the country, national events, health, education, youth empowerment, job creation and the media.
