The U.S Embassy in Sierra Leone has expressed unwavering support for President Bio’s plea for national unity. It has urged all Sierra Leoneans to overlook their disputes and unite for the national good. The Embassy paid tribute to those who tragically lost their lives yesterday in defense of the country’s Constitution and government.
In the wake of these abhorrent attacks, the Embassy has demanded that the perpetrators be brought to justice following due process and the rule of law. It has lauded the bravery of leaders from all political backgrounds who have denounced violence.
The U.S. Embassy has reiterated its commitment to continue collaborating with the Government and the people of Sierra Leone to foster democracy, health, and prosperity for the nation.
