Water Crisis is getting out of hands in Tengbeh Town

Water is vital and very necessary for the survival of living organisms, especially humans. Tengbeh Town in particular, because of its geographical position is facing serious problems with regards securing water.

In several areas within Tengbeh town 70% of people especially women get up at 3:00 am in search of water. Speaking with a pregnant lady by the name of Abibatu who is popularly known in the Community as Kelbatu, she  revealed  that she wakes up at 3:00 am every day in search of water going further to make an appealing to  the Government to establish more street taps in the community said to be one of the largest.

Expressing her dissatisfaction, a young graduate from FBC by the name of Ruth Kabba explained the way and manner in which women are suffering for water in the community, noting that as a result of the water crisis, teenage pregnancy is increasing in Tengbeh Town. Ruth Kabba ended up by thanking Madam Aminata, known as Aunty Amin, who is now rescuing the community people with water in some areas in Tengbeh Town.

Appreciating Madam Amin, Karifa Thoronka thanked her for installing water taps in her compound as a way of helping the people, Karifa mentioned that without the intervention of Madam Amin the situation would have been worse than this. He also called on the Government to intervene before something worse than this can happen.
