Addressing the issue in an exclusive interview, Councilor Bangura expressed deep shock and dismay over accusations circulating on social media linking him to the tragic discovery. He described these claims as baseless and misleading, aimed at tarnishing his reputation.

According to the Councilor, he was informed about the corpse by Community Head Man, Momoh Kargbo, who urged him to visit the scene.

“Immediately I arrived at the location and saw the body, I alerted the Adonkia Police Station for a full investigation,” he explained.

He believes these false allegations are part of a broader scheme to discredit him due to his firm stance against the unlawful acquisition of state lands.

Reaffirming his commitment to lawful processes, Councilor Bangura stressed the importance of resolving land disputes through legal and peaceful means. He called on all community members to uphold judicial proceedings and maintain harmony within the area.

Following an interrogation by the police, Councilor Bangura was cleared of any wrongdoing, as investigations found no evidence linking him to the incident.

Meanwhile, police investigations are ongoing, with several suspects apprehended in connection with the case. Authorities have assured the public that all efforts are being made to uncover the truth behind the unidentified corpse.
